Jessica A. Newport has been promoted to Manager. Jessica works with tax clients. She works at a high level on all types of tax engagements—individuals, businesses, trusts, nonprofits, and others. She prepares and detailed reviews these returns. Jessica has also been a buddy/supervisor to several of the Bloomfield Hills interns.
Jessica is actively involved in staff training and writes the Taxes chapter for the World Almanac. She also participates in a number of business development activities.
Chelsie N. Pretzer has been promoted to Manager. Chelsie works on both tax and audit engagements. She works on college and university audits and serves as the in-charge on ACH and Trust audits. On the tax side, Chelsie details reviews both individual and business tax returns. She is also the in-charge of review and compilation engagements. In the past year, Chelsie has become more involved in the 990-tax area.
Chelsie has attended many business development activities through the Chamber representing AHP.
Jennifer E. Sandelich has been promoted to Manager. Jenn has served as the in-charge for several financial institution engagements, including external, internal, and compliance audits. She is very strong technically and has especially excelled in her understanding of internal controls. Jenn communicates well with the client, the staff that she is overseeing, and with managers and partners. She understands the objectives and risks of the audits and services we provide, while keeping the client’s needs and expectations at the forefront.
Jacob C. Boerner has been promoted to Senior Accountant. In addition to financial statement audits, Jake performs IT audits effectively and handles all aspects of an engagement from planning to reporting. He has also presented on governmental audits and has assisted with proposals.
Jeffrey L. Todd has been promoted to Senior Accountant. Jeff works in both tax and audit. Over the past year, his technical expertise in the tax arena has grown significantly. Jeff has become a Sure Prep expert and is a go-to person for this software when questions arise about its use firmwide.
