Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC Promotes Three to Partner

Saginaw, MI, November 19, 2024 ─ Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC (AHP) is pleased to announce the promotion of Blake M. Buckmaster, CPA, CVA to Partner in their Bay City office, Rebekah A. Kilpatrick, CPA, CRCM to Partner in their Saginaw office, and Amanda M. Rein, CPA to Partner in their Owosso office effective January 1, 2025.

 

Blake is a certified public accountant (CPA) and has over 11 years of accounting experience. He started his career at AHP in 2012 as a staff accountant. Blake was then promoted to senior accountant in 2014, manager in 2017, and senior manager in 2020.

 

Blake specializes in business and individual tax services, business valuations, reviews and compilations, and IT consulting for manufacturers, closely held businesses, financial institutions, insurance companies, and various other industries.

 

Blake earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Saginaw Valley State University. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and has over 10 years of valuation experience.

 

Blake is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).

 

Blake is the current board treasurer of Hidden Harvest and a current member of the Bay Area Community Foundation Stewardship Committee, the Hunger Solutions Center Facilities Committee, and the Great Lakes Bay Manufacturers Association (GLBMA). He is also a member of Saginaw County’s Young Professionals Network.

 

Rebekah is a certified public accountant (CPA) with over 15 years of accounting experience. She started her career at AHP in 2009 as a tax season intern and joined full-time in 2010 as a staff accountant. Rebekah was then promoted to senior accountant in 2011, manager in 2014, and senior manager in 2017.

 

Rebekah is the chair of AHP’s Standards Committee and presents the FASB Standards Update at AHP’s annual firmwide Accounting and Auditing Update. She also provides training on other auditing and financial institution industry topics both internally and externally.

 

Rebekah is a leader in the AHP Financial Institution Group and serves as a business advisor to many community banks and credit union clients. She specializes in external, internal, and compliance audits, as well as consulting and loan review services.

 

Rebekah earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Saginaw Valley State University. She is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).

 

Rebekah is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She is an active member of the MICPA Financial Institutions Member Resource Group, Michigan Bankers Association (MBA), Community Bankers of Michigan, and the MBA Traveling Circus.

 

Rebekah is a member of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and serves as the treasurer of the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region.

 

Amanda is a certified public accountant (CPA) and has over 18 years of accounting experience. She joined AHP in 2018 as a senior manager with 12 years of prior accounting knowledge with other organizations, including working at a public accounting firm for nine years and as a corporate controller for three years.

 

Amanda specializes in accounting and audit for employee benefit plans, not-for-profits, and closely held businesses, as well as various others. She also provides consulting services to clients, such as outsourced CFO responsibilities.

 

Amanda leads the employee benefit plan audit practice at AHP. She is also an active member of the AHP Audit Committee, AHP Standards Committee, and co-chair of the AHP Culture Committee. Amanda oversees and leads various trainings at AHP such as the Audit Approach and Employee Benefit Plan trainings. In addition, she is highly involved in assisting AHP with the implementation of new auditing standards and clients with accounting standards.

 

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Oakland University.

 

Amanda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

 

Amanda is on the Operations Committee for the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce and is the treasurer of the Parent Association for Laingsburg Students.
