Deborah has over 25 years of tax and financial accounting experience. In addition to her CPA, she is a Certified Financial Planner, and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Deborah specializes in individual tax, flow through entities, corporations, tax planning, tax implications related to division of assets in a divorce, and overall financial planning. She has also presented on the new tax law for various groups and speaking engagements.
Deborah joined AHP in 2018 as a principal.
Deborah graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
Deborah is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). She is current treasurer for both the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan and Washtenaw Estate Planning Council. She is a past president of the Washtenaw Estate Planning Council and the Canton Community Foundation. She is also a finance elder of Geneva Presbyterian Church.
