Mark is a founding member of Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC (AHP). He is a former tax partner with Ernst & Young and has 43 years of industry experience. Mark’s professional experience is broad, ranging from estate and individual tax planning to advanced tax matters for businesses and publicly traded corporations.
Mark has been published in the Lansing State Journal and the Greater Lansing Business Monthly regarding tax planning, ethics, and estate planning.
Mark joined the Lansing office of Ernst & Young in 1976 and was promoted to partner in 1987. In 1993, he joined with two other Ernst & Young partners to form AHP and has been serving the Greater Lansing area since.
Mark graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He has held numerous leadership positions serving as board member and treasurer of the Capital Region Community Foundation, member and president of the Rotary Club of Lansing, board member of Okemos Community Church, and a board member of Auto Owners Insurance Group. Mark is an active member of the Lansing Region Shared Emergency Steering Committee, Business Leaders on Regionalism, a volunteer for both LEAP Inc., and the Great Lakes Entrepreneurial Quest.
Mark was paid a special tribute at the 2010 Entrepreneurial Awards of Greater Lansing for serving as chief judge since its inception in 1994 with the Founders Business Advocate award. He was recognized as a recipient of the MSU Alumni Service Award, and was named Alumnus of the Year from the MSU Alumni Association.
