Paul has more than 34 years of public accounting experience serving the Upper Peninsula. He is a partner in the Marquette office, formerly Makela, Toutant, Hill, Nardi & Katona, P.C. (MTHNK). Paul is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and specializes in audit, attest, and accounting services for clients in the private, not-for-profit, and financial institution sectors.
Paul joined MTHNK (then Makela & Toutant, P.C.) in 1989. He was promoted to senior auditor, manager, then senior manager before earning his position as a partner in MTHNK in 2001. Paul joined AHP when it merged with MTHNK.
Paul graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a major in accounting.
Paul is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He is active in professional and civic organizations and is a member of the College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council at Northern Michigan University.
